Network Security

Security threats are present in networks both from internal and external sources. We, at Pepperdine and Ostil, have considerable experience in designing implementing, assessing network security, and making provisions for unexpected events.

Today, many businesses take advantage of the Internet without regard to the fact that external unsavories now have access to their internal networks. Once a private internal network is connected to the Internet, security becomes of prime importance. The various platforms made vulnerable by such connectivity must be hardened. Viruses or Denial of Service (DOS) attacks may quickly overwhelm your organization. The service being provided must be secured to a realistic level based on the perceived risk of compromise to the data.

Information technology is the central nervous system of today's organizations, transmitting information that is vital to their success - and perhaps their very survival. Much if this information must be protected against unauthorized disclosure, interception, or alteration.

Successful security planning/implementation requires knowledge of threats to systems, areas exposed to those threats, and the countermeasures that can be instituted. The problems range from internal and external vulnerabilities for systems connected to the local network.

Our security specialists will work in partnership with you to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of your data across your internal and external infrastructure.
