An Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is provided to give users of computer resources a a clear understanding of what is expected of them while using your organization's facilities. Policies are written to encompass current and future Internet technologies as well as computer technologies. Policies exist to protect the Organization from legal challenges due to misuse of its resources and also establish a formal policy to ensure that computers are used to the benefit of and not in a manner that can eventually harm the organization either morally or physically, internally or externally.
